ABOUT LCHT
The Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking (LCHT) is a Denver-based nonprofit organization working to combat human trafficking at a local and global level. LCHT is invested in holistic, strategic efforts that lead to community empowerment and long-lasting systemic change through four programs:
? Training and educating first responders to increase victim and survivor identification. In the past six years, we`ve trained 13,000 individuals, including law enforcement, social service providers and community members.
? Conducting research alongside community members to develop the most effective solutions. In the past two years, LCHT has launched an unprecedented national study to look at promising practices within the anti-trafficking movement that will have impact in Colorado and nationwide.
? Mentoring future leaders to carry on anti-trafficking work. Our Leadership Development Program has supported 68 interns to complete a 10-week summer curriculum focused on the study of human trafficking with on-the-ground practice.
? Partnering with other organizations to develop more informed actions and comprehensive solutions by encouraging shared learning, working together to create new questions and dialogues, finding innovative solutions at the intersection of various sectors.
This contract job is for the design of a report for a specific project supervised by LCHT.
DELIVERABLES
1. Create project report (approximately 80-100 pages). Report will highlight the research findings of a study.
2. Work with Project Team to enhance distilled data by visual expression. To include:

3. Provide LCHT with all original (InDesign preferred) and print-ready (PDF) files on deadline.

The program is more than an internship. It is a hands-on opportunity to shoot along working wedding photographers, build your portfolio and if you qualify, become a certified member of Bella`s pool of paid freelance photographers.
Qualified Applicants will Have:
Must currently be enrolled/recent graduate in a photography program within a university or college with a focus on commercial, photojournalism, or wedding photography
Be available to work every Saturday per session
Be available for a group phone conference every Wednesday throughout the program
Have access to two professional camera bodies, two professional flashes; a fast wide angle lens , medium focal length fast lens, and a longer lens (i.e. 70-200 f2.8)
Must have reliable personal transportation
Have access to a computer to upload images
We plan to have three Bella intern sessions in 2012. Each session will last 7 weeks and you must be available each of the six Saturdays of the session you apply for.
While the position is not paid you will receive a $50 stipend to cover travel and food expenses for each of the weddings you shoot. You will receive that stipend check after you have shot each wedding.
